Cakes. Pastries. Dessert Tables.

Bloomsbury Bakers is founded by 2 friends who met at a French culinary school in Bloomsbury Square, London and share a common passion for baking. Classically trained in French Patisserie, they have teamed up to bring you an exciting new bakery, offering you a slice of France as well as all-time American favourites.

Ann - Prior to setting up Bloomsbury Bakers, Ann was working in the Banking and Finance sector for a decade in Front, Back and COO’s office in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore. Salvaging her soul from the banks (and regaining her youth), she enrolled in culinary school in December 2011 and exchanged her Stuart Weitzmans for kitchen safety shoes. She spent the next year eating, travelling and rediscovering her love for food and passion for baking, ending her sabbatical year with a stint as a stage at a Michelin star restaurant before returning to Singapore. In addition to the Patisserie Diploma, Ann also completed the Cuisine as well as Cake Decorating course and is now thrilled (and nervous!) to embark on her second career in the kitchen.

Hui Yi – Since she was a child, Hui Yi has always loved to bake (she became a Girl Guide only because she thought they sold cookies!) and has attended various baking classes conducted by well-known pastry chefs in Singapore. Shortly after graduating from Australia in 2011, it was only natural that she decided to pursue her interest in baking and enrolled in culinary school instead of joining the rat race in Singapore. During her time in London, she staged at cafes and trained under a Japanese pastry chef. Her creativity and talent in sculpturing figurines is evident in the fondant celebration cakes that this bakery offers. Hui Yi is excited to start her career in the kitchen and is looking forward to share with you her creative sweet tooth.
